Sales Representative – Security Solutions Specialist

Anixter is seeking a talented sales professional with successful experience selling security (access control, video surveillance, IP infrastructure, and recording management) solutions. This inside sales position will be focused on developing business within currently non-active accounts, or within active accounts with greater security solutions potential.

The Security Solutions Specialist will be an expert in consultative selling – determining customers’ technical and business needs through strong partnership and dialogue. Candidates must have strong experience prospecting and qualifying potential sales opportunities.

Education, training, experience:

The Security Specialist must be effective in developing and maintaining effective long-term relationships with key vendors, channel partners and customers. This position will also provide world class customer support on quotes, sales orders, logistics, and problem resolution.

Access Control
-Ability to create a bill of materials for day to day access control systems (<20), basic knowledge of readers, panels,credentials, topologies, etc.


Video Surveillance
-IP Cameras and Network Video Management software solutions
-Analog Camera Systems


Intrusion/Low voltage
-Basic knowledge of panels, keypads and modules, sensors and accessories


Sound and Paging Equipment
-Intercom, White Noise, Mass Notification,VOIP Paging


Required Experience
• 1 – 3 years experience in sales of security solutions
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Outstanding communication, negotiation, computer systems skills
• Excellent organization skills – effectively handling multiple priorities
