Job Responsibilities
As a Fire Alarm Service Technician you will install, program, maintain, or repair fire alarm wiring and equipment ensuring that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Additional responsibilities:
• Examining systems to locate problems, such as loose connections or broken insulation
• Testing backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens and all alarm features in order to ensure proper functioning as well as to diagnose malfunctions
• Installing, maintaining or repairing alarm devices or related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans
• Feeding cables through access holes, roof spaces and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets; then position and terminate cables, wires and strapping
• Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures
• Demonstrating systems for customers and explaining details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms

Job Requirements
We are looking for a Service Technician that’s proficient in servicing and repairing fire systems and well versed in trouble shooting, repairing, testing and inspecting fire alarm systems.
Our ideal candidate will also have:
• Current Massachusetts System Technician (D) or Journeyman (B) License
• Prior Installation experience
• NICET Certification
