|
Position Overview:
Service Technicians: Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of commercial and residential alarm systems such as closed circuit video, electronic control systems, intrusion detection systems and fire/life safety protection. Test and inspect fire systems according to National Fire Protection Association Code.
Installation Technicians: Provide on-site installation for residential and commercial burglar and fire alarm systems, run and pull wires and complete installations in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
|
|
Minimum Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent • Five years hand-on industry experience as a Service or Installation Technician • Knowledge of basic electronics and fire systems • Ability to read schematic, equipment instructions and wiring procedures • Ability to use hand tools, volt/ohm/multi-meter meter • Ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner • Ability to work independently • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly • Ability to work well with others at all levels • Driver’s license and clean driving record • Prior experience working with wire • NJ Fire and Burglar licenses helpful, but not necessary • NICET certification helpful, but not necessary • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70 lbs • Ability to climb ladders, operate lifts, use hand tools
